01 01 INSTALLING THE APPLICATION - TNL5

1.1 Installing the Application

The steps below must be followed:

• Decompress the file TcpTunnelSetup.zip.

• Execute the file vcredist_x86_VS2008.exe. This application will install the libraries required to execute the TcpTunnel installation program.

• Synchronize the mobile device, or the total station, with the PC via Microsoft ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center.

• Execute the file TcpTunnelSetup.exe.

• Select the installation program language:

• Select the Brand and the Model of the device; if you wish to install the application on a mobile device which does not appear on the list, you must select Other as the brand.

Open

• Press the Install TcpTunnel button. The program will create a folder called TcpTunnel, inside the Cfg directory, which must be copied into the permanent memory of the device. For some models of total stations, the program will create the folder Install_TcpTunnel. In this case, the content tof this folder must be copied into the root directory of a USB memory and the manufacturer's instructions must be followed.

• Close the installation program.
